As much as I love engagement shoots full of details there is something so gorgeous about a shoot that focuses on the couple and them spending time together. Sarajane & Nick’s photography is lovely. Their shoot is beautifully recorded by Captured by Corrin and shows this lovely couple enjoying spending time together and taking a walk in the great outdoors. I think from now on every engagement shoot should feature balloons!
Today is a grey and rainy day and this beautiful spring styled shoot makes it feel a little bit more like summer. With its gorgeous pastel colours and beautiful details, I absolutely love this shoot! This shoot is full of gorgeous props and a stunning Aston Martin, they do 007 proud!

Since they missed the opportunity to do a fun e session, they opted for a styled anniversary session on their double oh 5th anniversary!” “Enter Scene: Our Bond and Bond Girl head to a private club in their gorgeous Aston Martin, where they mingle prior to the private card game. While Bond is killing it at the tables, our Bond Girl sneaks away and changes into her cat burglar leather to steal secrets from the private library. Bond shoots his way outside to his getaway motorcycle, where he waits for our Bond Girl to escape with the secrets. It is no secret that we love pinterest, it is full of lots of gorgeous wedding inspiration. We have an ever increasing set of boards which we pin to regularly and every week we feature one of the boards on the blog. Today we are all about rustic weddings and this little pinterest board is full of gorgeous details that could be incorporated in wedding styling.
I LOVE Candice & David’s engagement shoot, it is full of fun, colour and beautiful images! Their lovely fun engagement photography by Creative Perspectives Photography was shot where Candice and David went to university and really was a trip down memory lane for them both. Victoria from Creative Perspectives tells us all about it – “Candice and David asked if we could do their e-session on the grounds of McGill University. The campus itself is beautiful, but what makes it extra special is that McGill is where they fell in love. Both Candice and David are now teachers, but they first met in room 627 of the Education Pavillion. I know this because we actually went back to that very room during our session. As we got off the elevator, Candice looked at an old couch nostalgically and said, “This is where David used to take naps”. The whole afternoon was like that: “This is the table where we would eat lunch”. “This is where we would study.” I felt as though we were reenacting their love story… and that is what made this session so special for me”
Our engagement shoot today comes from Ella Photography and features Liz and Davide, their beautiful shoot documents an evening walk and we love the simplicity of their shoot. Davide fills us in on his proposal to Liz ”Liz and I had been dating over 12 years at the time of our proposal. Early on in our relationship, we took several trips to Cuba. We had some of the best times of our lives there and I knew I wanted to get engaged in our favourite spot. Towards the end of our week long getaway, I became more and more anxious to propose. I finally gathered the courage to do it on our second-to-last day, late at night. We took a walk to the resort gazebo that was surrounded by loud, chirping frogs. However, when I went down on one knee, the frogs went silent. I think they knew! Liz was speechless and of course, said yes” Such a gorgeous proposal story!

This shoot is very magical and special, it features our engaged couple enjoying each others company and looking very relaxed in from of the camera. It is a very beautiful shoot.
Stephanie told us “I could not imagine two people more perfect for each other. Laid back, effortlessly cool, and always smiling, Mishayla and Chris bring out the best in one another. They met while Chris was visiting his family and they began a long distance romance. Several months later Mishayla moved and Chris popped the question in a scavenger hunt that ended with the most romantic proposal, ever… We had so much fun during their engagement photo session” Kelly & Tony’s cherry blossom engagement shoot is very gorgeous and makes us think of spring. Beautifully photographed by Ashley Fisher Photography, their shoot looks like it was full of fun and look like they enjoyed being in front of the camera. Ashley told us about their story and the significance of their gorgeous Spring shoot “it’s not fair for a bride to have to deal with anything but happiness during the time she’s engaged and planning her wedding, but for Kelly, that wasn’t what was in the cards. Kelly’s mom was diagnosed with breast cancer late last fall. I’ve known the entire family since I was in elementary school, so watching this battle has been absolutely heart wrenching”
“When we started to plan Kelly & Tony’s engagement session, they knew they wanted a spring date in the park. But this spring has not been so kind with late snow and late blooms. But the day before their session, this lonely magnolia tree showed its lovely pink blossoms, and I knew we had to use it, not only because it was beautiful, not only because it was pink, but also because of the symbolism of the new life Tony & Kelly are creating together AND also because Kelly’s mom just finished her treatment”
“we set up a cute little picnic under our pink magnolia tree with a pink blanket and pink pillows. They ate macaroons, drank some wine, played a little scrabble and showed me how truly in love they really are. Tony has been amazing supporting Kelly & her family through this incredibly difficult time, and I know that they’re going to have a marriage that lasts a lifetime”

Collette & Guy’s engagement story is lovely ”We went to Trigg beach to try and catch the sunset on Boxing Day 2011, as we arrived our song came on, Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol. We proceeded down to the beach and Collette began taking photos. As the sun was setting, she asked if we could get a couple of photos in front of the sunset.
